Kenya - Adventure Camping Holidays

Camping is the best way to experience the natural attractions of Kenya. Most camps are sited in private conservation areas, where walking and night drives are accepted. In every safari, visitors are accompanied by staff members who assist in various fields. For instance, there is a trained cook who is in charge of all the meals in an open fire. Your holiday will not be complete without accompanying a tour guide familiar with the wilderness. There will be someone to wash your clothes and heat the water for shower. Mountain biking in the Aberdare Ranges will give visitors a chance to view the wildlife in the rift valley floor. In this area, you will see many giraffes and buffalo at close distance as you ride along the ranges. The source of river Tana is in the Aberdare ranges. You will therefore have some time to go white-water rafting which will take you through a pineapple estate and large coffee plantations in the Central province of Kenya. You can combine your group with the local riders and have fantastic hiking and rappelling in the Hells Gate National Park, explore the caves and hike Mount Suswa. You could also go for game viewing in the Masai Mara Game Reserve.

Camping holidays on the Tiwi Beach in the coastline of Mombasa will allow group members to compete in various activities such as snorkeling, beach exploration, boat sailing and swimming. The tour guide will discuss with the group members on the activities to be carried out in order to save time and suit every member of the group.

For mountain climbers, camping holidays will be a great experience. You will climb Mt. Kenya which the highest peak in the country. You reach the peak using three routes namely; Naromoro, Chogoria and Sirimon. You could also climb the highest peak (Mt. Kilimanjaro) in Africa. If you make it to the peak, you will have a good view of the summit Kibo crater which is 1.5 miles across. At 5859m, Mt. Kilimanjaro is a snow cape mountain and still active. The lower levels of this mountain are ideal for watching various wild animals. There are five routes leading to the peak namely; Marangu, Rongai, Lemosho, Machame and Umbwe routes.
